Dear Friends: We experienced another great time at El Faro – in El Cuyo. Having a full kitchen made our stay enjoyable. Even though we ate at local restaurants for our late lunches or early dinners, we certainly were prepared to enjoy our margaritas on the beach. La Conchita (to the southwest of the plaza) and the motel restaurant (across from the plaza to the west) were both very enjoyable and had wonderful food. Sol and guacamole were also necessary for each meal.

El Cuyo has small stores that provide the basic needs of fruit (Avocados, limes, tomatoes, onions, bananas, etc.) Having been to this area before, we brought our tequila, cane sugar, and boxed fruit juice.

We spent days on the beach: lots of walking, reading, and enjoying the view. Our accommodations were wonderful and we look forward to our return.

Make sure you communicate any of your needs to the local hosts and be prepared to relax. Mattias and family are wonderful and we appreciated all they did for us. Cheers, Lyn Hawkins

We spent 2 weeks in yucatan, cancun and el cuyo and just had a fantastic time. The house in cancun is so spacious and we felt right a way home: lots of rooms, perfectly equipped, and 2 great balconies and a porch. We enjoyed our morning coffee on top of the roof with a nice view on our neighborhood. Because we also rentd a car from Mattias getting around in town and the outskirts was not a problem at all. Mattias also gave us his mobile, thus we had perfect security and orientation 24/7. It helped a lot and made the entire trip very smooth.

El Cuyo is a wonderful place to relax: quiet, safe and friendly people. The spectacular view from the top of the villa on the sea every morning was the best. Mattias also called several times to check on us asking if everything is alright – very caring.

Mattias, thank you so much for everything. You not only have a wonderful family, you indeed made this trip very personal – we felt like being welcomed by family.

    Vielen Dank fuer alles
    Hardy
