“El Cuyo” is a typical coastal village. The two local restaurants serve fresh and delicious seafood (lobster, octopus, grouper, snapper, barracuda, shrimp, etc.), prepared with a Mexican-Yucatecan flair. Very reasonable prices.we recommend the Iguana Factory, Owned by Juan, which is open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.At the Iguana Factory, you can always arrange Tours thruout the Yucatan, Changing Money, Rent a Vw Beatle, Rent Kayaks, Skites, Paddle Boat. They can also provide guyided Tours if you prefer.

The Weather
The climate is temperate, with July and August being more humid.
Evenings can be cool any time of the year with temperatures dropping into the low 70′s at night. Few mosquitoes can be found on the beachfront, but special repellent is recommended for jungle exploration.

Anywhere along the Yucatan Peninsula you can experience brief afternoon showers or an evening thunderstorm. But you can count on 300 rain free days annually.
